Think of it like this: The doctors' office comes to you.
San Francisco On Call Medical Group has built its reputation by providing timely, compassionate,
and quality care - at the location of your choice.
San Francisco On Call Medical Group has been providing housecalls to the greater
San Francisco Bay Area for over seven years (SF, Marin, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa,
Sonoma, Santa Clara). We understand that there are times when you, your family, or your
clients are too sick or too busy to go to the doctor. We also understand that the emergency
room may be an inappropriate place to receive non-emergency care.
San Francisco On Call takes away the burden and inconvenience of waiting in doctors' offices and
emergency rooms. We ensure quality medical attention from board-certified physicians who genuinely
care about their patients' health and well-being.
Good Reasons for a Housecall:
Weekends and evenings: the only other option is a journey
to the emergency room.
Only one of your children is sick.
Too sick or too weak to leave the house.
Unable to leave work in the middle of the day.
Recently hospitalized and would like a follow up visit.
San Francisco On Call is committed to bringing the doctor's office to you. Our physicians are available for the following housecall services:
24 hour urgent care services for any medical condition is not life threatening.
Treatment on the spot: home, hotel room, your office, or your child's school.
Our doctors are equipped with modern diagnostic equipment and medicines, allowing them to treat most medical conditions, and perform blood work in the field.
When is it appropriate to request a housecall?
A housecall is an appropriate option whenever medical assistance is required that is not life-threatening* or you
are not able to reach your primary care physician. San Francisco On Call’s doctors are always available to help.
We commonly provide housecalls to patients who are too sick to get out of bed, as well as those who appreciate the convenience
of waiting at home.
*If you think the problem is a true emergency, call 911 immediately.
How quickly can a doctor be here?
Very quickly. If you request an ‘urgent’ housecall, a physician can usually be there within one hour.
If the housecall is not ‘urgent’, you can schedule the appointment at your convenience.
Do housecalls have to be pre-scheduled?
No. San Francisco On Call is available 24 hours a day, whenever medical assistance is required.
Simply call 415-732-7029 to schedule a housecall, or click here to schedule an appointment online.
What are the fees for a housecall?
Housecalls, like office visits, are based on the medical complexity of the visit, as well as time spent. A basic, pre-scheduled daytime housecall for an established patient starts at $195. Fees may increase if medication is dispensed during the visit, or if it is after hours or the weekend. See fee schedule.
What is the difference between your housecall service and the emergency room?
Say you or your child feels ill in the middle of the night, and you feel a doctor is needed right away.
